NEW DELHI: Three terrorists were killed in an attack on the Air Force base in central Pakistan’s Mianwali area, the Pakistan army said in a statement on Saturday.
Three militants were killed before they entered the base and the other three had been cornered, the army added in its statement.
The Pakistan army further informed that three grounded aircraft and a fuel tanker were also damaged in the attack.
Islamist terrorist group Tehreek-e-Jihad has taken responsibility for the attack at the Air base.
Meanwhile, three terrorists are still holed up at the site, the officials added, as an an operation is under way to clear the area.
