RAIPUR: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal referred to speculations about the possibility of his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate saying “Now they are saying they will arrest Kejriwal. Come, do it. But how will they arrest the ideology of Kejriwal? How will they put the ideology in the lock-up?”.

Kejriwal’s remarks came as he, along with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and AAP’s national general secretary Sandeep Pathak, participated in a road show in the Akaltara assembly constituency, supporting their candidate, Anand Prakash Miri.

Kejriwal said attempts are being made to hinder the party’s work and labeled them as “traitors of the country.”
“The Aam Aadmi Party has established and introduced a unique model of governance in the country, which people had never seen before. Now, people know that a government can run like this, based on three pillars of complete honesty, staunch patriotism, and humanity,” Kejriwal said at the election rally.

“Now they are saying they will arrest Kejriwal. Come, do it. But how will they arrest the ideology of Kejriwal? How will they put the ideology in the lock-up? Delhi is the heart of the nation, where people from different states live. When we are doing good work, they should work in a better way, but they are instead preventing us from working, stopping us. How will the nation accept this? They are betraying the country by putting in jail the people who are working for the nation,” Kejriwal said.
“AAP is the by-product of an ideology that stands on three pillars: full honesty, staunch patriotism, and humanity. All the party workers have been told they can’t be dishonest with the country, and if required, they should be ready to sacrifice their lives for the nation,” Kejriwal said.

“We built hospitals that the other two big parties couldn’t. When they couldn’t bear the sight of it, they put our health minister behind bars,” Kejriwal said, adding that their education minister, Manish Sisodia, built several schools, providing free education to children and raising the standards of government schools in Delhi. They (the Centre) jailed Sisodia too.
“I am aware that this region is a poor and backward place, and even after 75 years of independence, the two major parties of the country have not been able to provide basic health facilities to the people. Seventy-five years is not insignificant. What the two parties did all these years is loot the country and fill their own homes to an extent that their seven generations can sit and enjoy that money, but our people remain deprived of health treatment,” Kejriwal attacked the BJP and Congress parties.
Remembering Anna Andolan in 2011, Kejriwal said millions of people had joined the protest in Delhi, the biggest stand against corruption in independent India. It was massive, and what came out of it was the Aam Aadmi Party. The party contested elections for the first time and was immediately elected to power in Delhi.
“A small and new party won the elections, and the people of Delhi showed so much trust in us, saying that the new boys seemed true, stubborn, loyal, and patriotic. We won three elections, and it’s been 8-9 years in Delhi. We must have done something good, of course. We have shown the country a new model of governance that people couldn’t believe was a reality. Previously, governments would say they were running in a deficit, but since our government has come to power, we are running in profit. How? Because we are spending every penny of the people on them only. We opened many grand school buildings and mohalla clinics that provide free treatment to people, be they poor or rich.”
Now, people know that such a governance model can also run in the country, Kejriwal said, adding that we are replicating the same governance model in Punjab where we have formed the government.
