NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Isro scientists after the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission and said ‘India is now on the Moon. This is a moment to cherish forever. We are witness to the new flight of new India; new history has been written.”
PM Modi, who is in the South Africa to attend the five-nation BRICS Summit, waved the tricolour the moment Chandrayaan-3 landed on the moon.
“Humne dharti par sankalp kiya aur chand pe usse sakaar kiya,” PM Modi said and added “This is a moment of pride for 140 crore Indians and I congratulate all the scientists who toiled hard to make this a success.”

“When we see such historic moments it makes us very proud. This is the dawn of new India,” he said and added “India’s successful moon mission is not India’s alone; Our approach of one earth, one family one future is resonating across the globe.”

“No other country has been able to land on this side of moon before; this will change all narratives and stories about moon,” PM Modi said. Stating that the Moon is now just a tour away, PM Modi said “Kabhi kaha jata tha chanda mama bahut door ke hain, ab ek din wo bhi ayega jab bacche kaha karenge chanda mama bass ek tour ke hain.”
